It is a great honour to be named Photographer of the Year in the Conceptual category at the 1839 Awards, a prestigious competition based in New York with a jury composed of internationally renowned professionals including editors from Vanity Fair, curators from the University of Zurich and many others who value photography as a true art form.

My passion for photography began in 2008, at a time when smartphones were just starting to include cameras. Back then, I didn’t own a DSLR or even a digital camera, but I had a deep fascination with capturing the beauty of the world around me. Here’s a look back at my journey.
